Pictured are a set of CAT5 VGA extenders. These are used to extend the distance between the PC graphics card output up to or greater than 100 metres using standard CAT5 network cable.
The advantage of using CAT5 cable is one of cost. Using 100metres of special video cable would be very expensive.
CAT5 cable on the other hand is available in 300metre or more lengths for very little cost.
The units are very easy to use and come as a pair of mains powered units. One acts as a transmitter, the other as a receiver. Plug the transmitter into the NDD electronic noticeboard PC and the receiver into the noticeboard screen. The two units are linked by the CAT5 cable.
The transmitter unit has a local output so you can connect a screen and monitor the signal locally, or even drive a second display screen.
Note that you MUST use a different CAT5 cable to your LAN. If you plug these units into your LAN you will damage you network routers/hubs etc.
