How The Orangevalley Browser Controlled Digital Signage system works There are a couple of different types of system to choose from which are described below:
Local In House System To control the system, just enter the network name name of the master player unit into your web browser. You then have full control of the unit and can create and display your message pages. Need more displays? Just add additional player units to the system. The web server will either update them via a file share or they can connect via an http connection and get updates themselves. We can provide you with all the software you need to install on your own PCs or we can supply you with ready to run small digital signage players. You can install our web server onto the same PC as you put the main electronic noticeboard software onto (normal configuration) or install it onto a seperate PC that the noticeboard PCs connect to for updates. Orangevalley Dedicated Web Server information is here
Internet Subscription Based System Once you have an account set up you configure your free player software to connect to the Internet address we will provide. This is no more difficult than entering a web address into a control panel. The NDD1 Player will then constantly check in with the Internet server to look for any updated files. If it detects any new or changed files it will download them to its local hard drive. This keeps Internet traffic to an absolute minimum as the player only displays data from its local storage. This system allows you to place NDD1 noticeboard players anywhere in the world that has access to the Internet, which equally means that you can upload data to say your shop window display from your office or your home. If you have more that one player in the same building you can assign one unit to be a master unit to get the Internet updates and that same unit will then feed feed the data to your other slave units. You could of course have all your units connect to the Internet for updates if required.
