The 2, 4, 8 or 10 screen electronic noticeboard PCs called NDD2, NDD4, NDD8 and NDD10 are able to show different information on up to ten display screens, with each noticeboard screen displaying different information to the others.
This unit is ideal if you have a number of screens within fairly close proximity to each other as it's more cost effective than using individual NDD1 units.
These units are fitted with multiple, multi-output graphics cards and are able to show different slide shows of message pages on up to ten different electronic noticeboard screens at the same time.
Each screen is able to operate in the same or its own individual display group, while still supporting the same functionality of the standard NDD1 units.
All screens are able to show pages with a mixture of text, images, SWF (Flash), video*.
As our editing system is able to create display pages that are external pages (i.e. they reside on a web server somewhere) you could for example write some asp / asp.net / php scripts that run on your web server that hook into your meeting or diary system that the NDD unit will be able to display on a big screen say outside a meeting room.
The NDD4 and NDD10 units have been successfully deployed in two well known international hotel chains in central America for showing meeting room information on multiple screens. The screens are located up to 100 metres away from the NDD units as CAT5 extenders (see link below) are used to extend the connection between the NDD unit and the screen.
Other customers using our multi-output electronic noticeboard players are schools and the oil exploration industry.
We have under development a controller specifically designed to drive meeting room display screens. Please contact us with your requirements as this product is rather specialised. Our existing system controller is of course able to control and schedule pages for display on the multiple output NDD units.
*video files depending on size and bit rate are limited to a single screen at a time due to the limitations of pulling different videos from a single hard drive at the same time. There is also a problem with sound as multiple videos with sound will all playback through the same PC sound channel, thus you will get mixed up sound tracks. In reality, if you wish to show rich multimedia such as video you should use a single NDD1 unit per screen.
