Electronic Noticeboard WYSIWYG Page Editor

Page Editor
A full multimedia WYSIWYG editing system for our electronic noticeboard system. This editor gives you total freedom for page design by allowing the user to drag page elements around the screen and place them in the exact required location. Any number of images and text blocks can be placed on the page as required. Photographs can be stretched to fill a space or set to maintain their correct aspect ratio. The editor also allows you to create noticeboard pages in correct widescreen formats and in portrait modes.

Digital Signage Editor

The editor can create a display page that incorporates a television channel. This is shown in the image below. The green square will be where the television picture will appear on the final display page. This can be moved to any position within the edit window by simply dragging it around with the mouse. You also change the size of the TV image to any size that you desire. Selecting the TV channel is a matter of entering the channel number into the channel box. The system can select a video input or tuner input by ticking a tick box. A typical use for this might be to show a news channel on some noticeboard screens during the lunch period.

TV image placement in an electronic notice board displayThe image on the left shows the editor creating a page that shows television or video from a DVD player as described above.

The noticeboard system has a facility to play videos. To add a video into a display page, the editor allows the simple selection of a video file. This can be previewed in the video selector before final seletion. Once a video has been selected, it can be placed anywhere in the edit window and moved around to the desired location with the mouse. Like all other elements in the editor, the video can be sized by dragging the bottom right corner of the video clip to fill the screen if required.

Video file selectionThe image on the left shows the video file selector for incluson in a display page.

Selecting an image for loading into the editor is easily done by selecting an image thumbnail. This can be configured to fill the screen or you can drag the image around to the desired position. By using the WYSIWYG nature of the editor you can place images that overlap each other while the system will always place any text above the images.
